Move over dogs and cats a much wilder guest just crashed a wedding in Nepal! In a scene straight out of a wildlife documentary (or a surreal wedding dream), a wild rhinoceros casually walked into a wedding venue in Sauraha, near Nepal’s famed Chitwan National Park.

A now-viral video captures the majestic creature calmly trotting through the decorated venue, completely unfazed by the stunned guests who watched in awe. The rhino didn’t charge or panic instead; it looked more like a curious neighbour dropping by to check out the festivities… or maybe give its blessings to the bride and groom!

The rhino even walked under the wedding’s Swagatam (welcome) sign, making it look like the whole event was planned with it in mind. Social media users quickly dubbed it the “wildest wedding ever.”

The moment was shared on Instagram page ‘Gags Nepal’ posting the reel with the cheeky caption: “POV: You’re at a wedding in Sauraha… and a RHINO shows up!” Others chimed in with hilarious comments like “Rhino want to bless couple” and “Bro got wild card at wedding.”

Facebook page ‘Routine of Nepal Banda’ joined in too, sharing a photo of the four-legged party crasher and writing: “Rhino entering wedding venue at Sauraha, Chitwan.”

As wild as it sounds, rhino sightings in public places aren’t entirely new for locals in the Chitwan region. Past videos have shown rhinos wandering into roads, towns and even inside an ATM! But entering a wedding venue? Now that’s next-level.
