The Sabarmati Report
Released on November 15, The Sabarmati Report, starring Vikrant Massey, Rashi Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra, opened to glowing reviews but has failed to translate critical acclaim into box office success. The film, backed by producer Ekta Kapoor, has garnered a lot of buzz on social media, with posts about it going viral. However, this online chatter hasn’t reflected in its earnings, leaving the makers grappling with financial losses.
The Sabarmati Report
According to reports from Sacnilk, the film has earned a total of ₹11.45 crore in its first week. The daily collections paint a dismal picture: ₹1.25 crore on Day 1, ₹2.1 crore on Day 2, ₹3 crore on Day 3, followed by ₹1.15 crore, ₹1.3 crore, ₹1.55 crore, and ₹1.1 crore over the next four days.
Despite being declared tax-free in states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana—and even receiving praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi—the film has struggled to draw audiences to theaters.
The Sabarmati Report
With no major releases scheduled this week, the movie might get a slight reprieve. All eyes are now on the weekend to see if the collections will improve. But as things stand, The Sabarmati Report might not stay in theaters much longer unless there’s a significant boost in its numbers.
