But the true marvel that stole the spotlight? The Chenab Bridge is said to be the world’s highest railway bridge, soaring 359 metres above the river and it is 35 metres taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Alongside it, the Anji Bridge, another engineering feat, was also inaugurated. “Walking on the Chenab and Anji bridges today, I felt the heartbeat of India’s aspirations and the fearless spirit of our engineers,” PM Modi said.

Calling Jammu and Kashmir, the “crown jewel of India,” PM Modi said the region’s development was unstoppable, not even terrorist attacks could derail its future. Referring to the tragic April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians, he reaffirmed his government’s commitment: “Any obstacle that stands in the way of progress must face Modi first.”

He sharply criticized Pakistan for its repeated attempts to destabilize the region, accusing it of attacking not just Indian civilians but the very idea of humanity and Kashmiriyat. “They fear peace because peace brings prosperity. They fear tourism because tourism empowers the poor,” he said.
By combining world-class infrastructure, record-setting engineering, and national resolve, PM Modi’s message was clear: India is not just connecting its lands, it’s uniting its people, dreams, and destinies from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
