A desperate late-night dash to the hospital turned into a horrifying tragedy in Noida’s Sector 20 last night when a five-year-old girl, already unwell, was killed after a speeding BMW luxury car slammed into the scooter carrying her and two relatives. The devastating incident, which also left two men injured, has led to the arrest of the BMW’s driver and a co-passenger.

The victim, Aayat, daughter of Gul Mohammad, was being rushed to the Post Graduate Institute of Child Health in Sector 30 by her father and uncle, Raja, residents of Sadarpur near Sector 45. They were on their way to seek urgent medical attention for the ailing child when their journey was cut short by the impact of the luxury vehicle. Aayat tragically died at the scene, while Gul Mohammad and Raja sustained injuries and are currently hospitalized.

Police have identified the individuals in the BMW as Yash Sharma, a resident of Noida Sector 37, who was driving the car, and Abhishek Rawat, a Sector 70 resident and restaurant owner, who was the co-passenger. Both have been taken into custody, and the heavily damaged BMW, along with the scooter, has been seized by authorities.
