One cannot deny from the fact that getting a job is quite difficult these days but what will you say when someone leaves a job just after 1 day of joining. The same has been experienced by an HR professional in Noida.

In a story that’s now making waves on LinkedIn, a Noida-based HR professional has shared a surprising episode that’s left office goers across industries talking.

Khushie Chaurasiya, who works as human resources, took to the platform to recount how a new hire for a sales position quit on the very first day and that too with a single text message that read, “Mujhe yeh kaam pasand nahi aaya” (I didn’t like the work).

Chaurasiya expressed her shock, noting that the role and its challenges had been clearly discussed well before the offer was extended. “What changed overnight?” she asked in her now-viral post.

She went on to offer advice to job seekers: “No job becomes perfect in a day. No company can prove everything in 24 hours. And no role will ever feel ‘comfortable’ until you give it your time, energy, and mindset.”

Her post wasn’t just about disappointment but it was a call for more thoughtful decision-making. She urged candidates to ask questions during interviews, take their time before accepting offers, and most importantly, maintain professionalism even when you wish to leave a company.

“Growth doesn’t come from perfect jobs,” she wrote. “It comes from patience, clarity, and learning from discomfort.”

Chaurasiya also shared screenshots of the short exchange with the departing hire, adding fuel to an already growing discussion online.

Some LinkedIn users applauded the candidate for not dragging things out: “At least they didn’t waste anyone’s time,” one commenter noted. Another added, “Sometimes, you just know a place isn’t right for you.”

Many pointed fingers at the stressful nature of sales roles which is often seen as high-pressure and underappreciated. “Sales work is tough. It can feel like a grind, especially without proper support,” a user commented.

Others highlighted the possibility of a flawed onboarding process. “Maybe the new hire didn’t feel welcomed or guided. A good mentor on Day 1 makes all the difference,” one post suggested.

Still, a segment of professionals stood by Chaurasiya, supporting her emphasis on professionalism and the need to give a new role at least some time before quitting.   In this kind of scenarios, one can’t be truly correct or incorrect as all depends on the actual scene, an unfamiliar person can only make assumptions and try to pass their comments accordingly.
