Following this, he addressed the media outside the Parliament, claiming that he is not allowed to speak in the House.

The Speaker had previously urged him to follow the conduct and dignity of the House, citing certain incidents that were deemed inappropriate for parliamentary proceedings.

Om Birla stated, “It is expected from all members that they uphold the dignity and high standards of conduct in the House. Several incidents have come to my attention where the behavior of certain members has not aligned with parliamentary traditions. In this House, there have been members who are father-daughter, mother-daughter, and husband-wife. In this context, I especially expect the Leader of the Opposition to adhere to parliamentary procedures under Rule 349 and maintain appropriate conduct. The Leader of the Opposition is expected to set an example with their behavior in the House.”
