In an interview with Radio Nasha, Suniel Shetty revealed that he was hesitant to play Bhairav Singh at first due to JP Dutta’s reputation for being strict and hot-tempered. Suniel admitted that he himself has a short temper, and because of this, he decided to stay away from the project.

Suniel agreed, but with a clear condition: if things didn’t go well on the sets, he would walk away from the project.
