Comedian Kapil Sharma, actor Rajpal Yadav, singer Sugandha Mishra, and choreographer Remo D’Souza have reportedly received threatening emails, warning them of possible harm to their lives. According to police sources, the emails also targeted their families and close associates.

Rajpal Yadav has filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police, while Sugandha Mishra and Remo D’Souza have also reported the issue to authorities. Based on a complaint from Rajpal Yadav’s wife, the Amboli Police have registered an FIR under Section 351(3) of the Indian Penal Code against an unidentified individual.

Threatening Emails Sent from Pakistan

The police have initiated an investigation, and preliminary findings indicate that the emails were sent from Pakistan. The emails were sent via the address [email protected], with the sender identifying themselves as “Vishnu.”

The email reads:
“We are closely monitoring your recent activities. We believe it is necessary to bring a sensitive matter to your attention. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you. We request that you take this message seriously.”

Further, the email includes warnings of dire consequences if the sender’s demands are not met, asking for a response within eight hours. It states, “If we don’t receive a reply, we will assume you are not taking this matter seriously, and we will proceed with necessary action. – Vishnu.”

Previous Threats to Bollywood Celebrities

This is not the first instance of Bollywood celebrities receiving threats. Last year, Salman Khan, AP Dhillon, and Shah Rukh Khan faced similar situations. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claimed responsibility for threatening Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.

In Salman Khan’s case, there was even a shooting incident outside his Mumbai residence. As for Shah Rukh Khan, he received a death threat via a phone call from a number registered under the name of Faizan in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. His team filed a complaint with the Bandra Police. The threatening call was made to a landline on November 5, and it was received by a Mumbai police officer. The caller identified himself as “Hindustani” and demanded ₹50 lakh.
