Archana Puran Singh has carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry through sheer hard work and determination. Recently, she reminisced about her struggling days in a vlog, sharing some lesser-known stories of her hardships.

Known for her work in both Bollywood and television, Archana faced numerous challenges at the start of her career. She revealed that there was a time when she used to manage her meals for just Rs 2.

In her latest vlog, Archana talked to Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak, recalling her early days. She shared how she used to live in a rented house without a television. To watch her shows, she would request her landlord to turn on the TV at 10 PM. Sometimes, the landlord agreed, but many times, she was denied. Because of this, Archana ended up watching very few episodes of her own shows.

She further revealed that there was a phase when she survived on Rs 2 for lunch. A portion of dal (lentils) cost Rs 1, and each roti (flatbread) was 10 paise. She would buy Rs 1 worth of dal and 10 rotis, which were as thin as paper.

Archana also shared how she often walked to auditions to save money instead of taking the bus. Back then, a bus ticket cost 50 paise, and by saving that amount, she could buy T-shirts for Rs 6.
