CM Hemant Soren Holds Meeting
Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a review meeting with the Home Department on Wednesday regarding law-and-order arrangements for Holi and Eid, as well as the Aman Sahu encounter case. During the meeting, he instructed officials to ensure strict security measures for both festivals. Additionally, he sought a report on the encounter case. The Director General of Police (DGP) informed the CM that necessary directives for tight security arrangements had already been issued across all regions.

Regarding the Aman Sahu encounter, the DGP stated that a detailed report on the entire incident has been requested. Following the meeting, DGP Anurag Gupta spoke to the media, stating that the CM had instructed strict security measures for Holi, Eid, Sarhul, and Ram Navami to prevent any law-and-order disruptions.

When journalists questioned him about the Aman Sahu encounter, he responded that the matter is currently under investigation. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has been assigned to probe the case. He added that only after receiving the detailed report would they be able to clarify the sequence of events.

On Tuesday, gangster Aman Sahu was killed in an encounter by the ATS. He was being transported from Raipur to Ranchi for interrogation when he allegedly attempted to escape by snatching a rifle from a constable inside the vehicle. In retaliation, he was shot dead.
