In a fiery address at a rally in Bihar’s Karakat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revisited a solemn promise made to the nation in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, where 26 innocent civilians lost their lives. Standing before the crowd, Modi declared that he had returned to Bihar not just for votes, but to announce the fulfillment of that promise.

“A terror attack struck Pahalgam, taking the lives of innocent citizens. I came to Bihar then and gave my word to the country that terror camps would be wiped out, that justice would be delivered in a way they couldn’t imagine. Today, I have come back to Bihar after fulfilling that promise,” Modi said.

The pledge translated into action through Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, as India unleashed a calculated and powerful response to the heinous attack. In a desperate response, Pakistan launched a series of drone and UCAV strikes aimed at Indian airbases and critical logistics hubs. But India’s multi-layered air defence systems stood firm, neutralizing the threats and keeping vital assets safe.

From a solemn vow in Bihar to a fierce operation across enemy lines, Operation Sindoor has emerged as a defining moment in India’s counter-terror resolve.
