The Civil Services Examination — the gateway to prestigious services like IAS, IFS, and IPS — is held in three stages: Preliminary, Main, and the final Personality Test (Interview). This year, the journey began with 14,627 candidates qualifying for the Main exam, held in September 2024. From this group, 2,845 candidates advanced to the interview round.
Out of them, the UPSC has recommended 1,009 candidates for appointment — including 725 men and 284 women — reflecting a robust participation from across the gender spectrum.
What makes this year’s result particularly inspiring is the composition of the top five rank-holders: three women and two men.
